Dec 6, 2011 - Tertiary (Phase 3) Vacation bidding for 2012 will close tomorrow, December 7th at 0830 Local Domicile Time.

Partnership Program - July Bidding

Jul 1, 2011 - United has agreed to continue the Partnership Program for another 6-month period, beginning August 31, 2011 and ending on March 1, 2012. A new bid of partnerships will commence on July 6, 2011.

Election Results

Jun 29, 2011 - AFA was elected with 55.1% of the vote. AFA received 11,942 votes and 9,745 votes were cast for the IAM.

Voting Schedule Announced

Apr 26, 2011 - The National Mediation Board (NMB) today announced the voting schedule for a representation election for United, Continental and Continental Micronesia Flight Attendants. Balloting instructions will be sent to the over 24,000 Flight Attendants on May 17 and voting will close June 29, 2011.

The Countdown Has Begun

Apr 26, 2011 - Today, a ruling from a federal labor board moves flight attendants at United and Continental airlines closer to an election process that will decide on a single union.

FAA-Mandated eLearning Reminder

Voluntary Furlough Announcement

Mar 29, 2011 - United today announced its decision to begin a new Voluntary Furlough for an additional 400 Flight Attendants. The Voluntary Furlough has an effective date of June 1, 2011 and will have a duration of 9-months, ending on March 1, 2012.

United Temporarily Grounds 757 Fleet

Feb 15, 2011 - United Airlines said it is in the process of temporarily grounding its 96 Boeing 757 jetliners Tuesday and into Wednesday so it can perform checks on earlier modifications it did to the air-data computers on those planes.
