SkyNet Fix for Windows Vista
We offer no technical support for this dumb fix---it's one of those bugs we discovered late at night while your children slept and all was quiet on the prairie. Also: United Airlines official policy excludes support of Windows Vista---so keep that in mind also.
The Problem
If you need to access SkyNet on a default installation of Windows Vista, you may be out of luck. Movie of what happens >
Yep. A default installation of Windows Vista renders SkyNet useless---or at least it did for Yours Truly. It also screwed up Unimatic and E-Learning, but that's another story for another web page for another day.
In the meantime, if you cannot access SkyNet, try the following fix:
The Fix
- Open Internet Explorer 7 on Windows Vista
- Select 'Tools', and then 'Internet Options'.
- Select the 'Advanced' tab.
- Put a checkmark in the 'Use SSL 2.0 box'.
- Click OK.
That's it! You can now access SkyNet on IE 7 on Windows Vista.
Unable to Make This Work? Have Other SkyNet Problems?
Try any of the following:
- Prozac (fluoxetine)
- Paxil (paroxetine)
- Zoloft (sertraline)
- Luvox (fluvoxamine)
- Effexor
Still no relief? Then call 1-800-255-5801 for SkyNet technical support. We do NOT troubleshoot SkyNet (unless of course, United wants to pay us for such services). REMEMBER: United Airlines official policy excludes support of Windows Vista.
Yeah, we love to poke fun at SkyNet because it is so incredibly difficult for flight attendants to use and navigate. However, if you are having problems accessing SkyNet, then you definitely need to let them know the problems so that they can be tracked and fixed.
